How Real Estate Agents Can Use TikTok and Youtube To Grow Their Personal Business
Many people are wondering how they can continually grow their business through social media or Google. To some, it seems like an impossible challenge. Always posting videos, writing captions, using the right hashtags, etc.. It can become so time-consuming and then never get a return.
So why should someone be on social media? In this article I will give you 4 ways you can grow your business through simple video training tips.
Answer Simple Questions On Video
When I first got started in social media marketing, I was so intimidated by all of the creators who had awesome cameras and over-the-top studios. It caused me to do NOTHING. I didn’t want to look dumb when other people had a better image than me, or so I thought.
It also turns out; that I knew a lot about real estate that many agents did not! So, I started to make simple, quick videos that answered the questions people had about real estate. It didn’t take long for people to start to ask me more questions, which allowed me to make more real estate videos for TikTok!
You Don’t Have To Be Over The top
I always thought I needed good lighting and a great backdrop, and while, yes, this is a good thing, it is not necessary!! If you have a nicely painted wall in your house and a least an iPhone 7, your quality will be good enough for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
You think I’m wrong? I had an iPhone 10, posted a video of me, with a hat on, about seller’s assistance, and I got over 1 MILLION views on it. Why?? Because no one else was making a video about sellers assist! There was nothing special about this video, other than the fact that I made a video.
Keep. It. Simple. Stupid. (KISS)
When making a video for TikTok or YouTube, you do not need to get into the weeds. You can create high-level content that allows the person watching to comment more questions. This is what I have done personally.
I keep my content high level and then allow the comment section to create more content for me!
Recently I posted a video about wholesaling. I kept it under 1 minute, talked at a high level, and allowed people to ask questions. As of yesterday, it had over 1,000 likes and 11,000 views. I don’t say that to be proud, but I say that because it was not hard for me to do, and I got some great interaction from the video!
End Each Video With A Call To Action
Every video you make should end with some form of call to action. Most of the time, it can be really simple, “Like and follow for more tips” or “Follow for more”.
It is really easy to add this at the end of the videos, and it will increase your follow rate drastically.
Now, some videos may have a larger call to action like, “Know anyone this could be good for?” or “Share this with someone who may find this interesting”.
I would encourage you to do this once every 7-10 videos. This spreads it out, so your followers aren’t always feeling like they are being sold to.
With all this being said, making videos is not as hard as it seems. All you need is a smartphone with a decent camera and some questions to answer!
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
