Create a Real Estate Brand that Your Clients Love

As a real estate agent, it’s important for you to create your own real estate brand for yourself. Often, agents use their brokerages branding when they first get started, but you need to stand out from the crowd.

A brand is so much more than just a logo. A brand is how someone feels about you, how you make them feel about themselves, and how they connect with you on a deeper level.

Once you have a brand that allows you to show up authentically as yourself, you’re able to create the know, like, and trust factor with those who follow you. When your database and online followers trust you, you’re more likely to build an online relationship with them.

Here are three steps you should take to help you start creating a real estate brand that you love.

What Values Does Your Real Estate Brand Have

The first step in defining your brand is understand what core values you want to live by. Your core values are what help you differentiate yourself, show up authentically online, and create a consistent voice within your business.

Your real estate brand should have between 3 and 5 core values that show up in all aspect of your business. These values go beyond the words themselves; the values should be actions that you’re taking to because you believe in them.

After you’ve defined your core values, start making a list of ways you can showcase these values throughout your business – including email marketing, social content, and on your website.

Have a Branding Statement

In short, a branding statement is a summary of what your business does, how you do it, and what makes you unique. The statement should be short, concise, and easy to understand. When a potential client reads your branding statement, they should be able to quickly understand your real estate brand’s mission, values, and how you’re different form other agents.

Different from a mission statement, a branding statement informs the public and your clients what you’re about, while a mission statement describes your company from an internal perspective.

Before writing your branding statement, be sure you understand…

Your Unique Selling Proposition – This is the thing that distinguishes your real estate brand from other agents.

Understand Your Target Audience – While you may want to be liked by everyone, it’s not possible. When you understand who you enjoy working with and why you enjoy working with them, it’s easier to speak to them.

Know Your Brand Personality – The characteristics of your brand is what helps you attract those you enjoy working with because your audience can relate.

Once you know who you’re targeting and how you want to be known, writing your branding statement will be easy.

Here’s a template to help you get started:

As a [city] real estate agent, I [insert core value] [target audience] [solve problem] by [Unique Selling Proposition].

As a Nashville real estate agent, I empower long-time renters by helping them purchase their first home and navigate the difficult journey of the real estate market.   

Connecting with Your Ideal Client

As you grow your brand online it’s important to build an online community and not just focus on the number of followers you have. When you create a community, you’ll build a place online where people cheer you on, support you unconditionally, and help you grow your real estate brand.

The more you focus on creating a community, the more referrals you’ll be able to generate.

To create a loyal community, you have to know how to showcase your values in a way that speaks directly to them.

The best way to figure out what gets your community engaging is to just ask them. How would they describe themselves? What’s something they love and what’s something they hate? What’s something they need to be educated on? What do your ideal client’s value? Come up with 10-15 answers for each and craft your content around them.
